Local support and sponsoring
stablished for over 175 years in the village of Le Sentier at the heart of the Vallée de Joux, the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre plays an important role on the regional scene. It displays its will to be actively involved in local life and to contribute to the development of its region by supporting a number of sports clubs (handball, hockey, etc.), cultural associations (cinema, theatre troupe, etc.) as well as various institutions (Watchmaking Technical School, sports centre, child day-care centre, etc.). Jaeger-LeCoultre is currently one of the key players in the social life of the Vallée de Joux.
Links with schools and institutions
The various departments of the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre regularly welcome young students and apprenticeships from regional schools who come here to put into practice the theoretical knowledge they have gained.
In cooperation with the Vallée de Joux Watchmakers’ School, the Manufacture also runs a training workshop for apprentice-watchmakers, where young watchmakers acquire the knowledge they need to master all aspects of the watchmaking trade.
