To create a sound of unprecedented beauty, a gong in a secret alloy developed by the Manufacture is fixed to the sapphire glass protecting the dial. When the hammers hit the gongs, the vibrations are directly transmitted to the glass, producing a sound of crystalline purity. Carrying on the 19th century tradition of complications, the nickel silver calibre has a platinum three-quarter bridge with Jaeger-LeCoultre’s exclusive sunray stripes decoration. Two barrels provide 15 days’ running time for this limited edition of 200 in tribute to the Manufacture’s founder.
