Jaeger-LeCoultre wins the Jury’s Special Prize in the 2012 Montre de l’Année Competition

For the 19th Montre de l’Année (Watch of the Year) Competition, sponsored by Montres Passion magazine, the independent jury of professional watchmakers awarded its “Coup de Coeur” Special Prize of the Jury to the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre. Thanks to “its rich and incredible history and to the quality, originality and reliability of its creations,” the Manufacture has once again produced “a number of exceptional timepieces.” Among them are the Duomètre Sphérotourbillon and Duomètre à Quantième Lunaire 40.5, the Reverso Répétition Minutes à Rideau Venise and Grande Reverso Ultra Thin SQ, and the Master Grande Tradition à Répétition Minutes and Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon watches.

Jury’s Special Prize
Should the jury wish to do so, though it is not required, it may award one or more exceptional watch creations that do not comply with the selection criteria for the Montre de l’Année (Watch of the Year) competition (i.e., without limitation of price or quantity). It may also decide to award a prize to a brand, to a specific watch, or to one or more watchmakers, etc.
