Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon 3 Jubilee
This new Grand Complication watch with an aesthetic inspired by the pocket-watches of the 19th century is the third Jaeger-LeCoultre Grand Complication model to be equipped with a Gyrotourbillon, but the first to be equipped with a Flying Gyrotourbillon, seeming to float in a vacuum in a state of total weightlessness. Fitted with a new spherical balance-spring, it is also equipped with a chronograph with an instantaneous digital display activated by a monopusher. This timepiece with exceptional finishes reflects the Manufacture's spirit of inventiveness and leadership in the field of Grand Complications.
Gyrotourbillon: The new generation
For the first time, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces a flying tourbillon watch whose absence of upper bridge allows it to overlook the movement exercised by this miniature universe. At the heart of two extra-bright aluminium cages, a 14-carat gold balance wheel is visible as well as a new blued spherical balance spring, as if beating like a heart at the centre of the Gyrotourbillon.
Gyrotourbillon: Instant digital display chronograph
The chronograph of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon 3 Jubilee watch is a monopusher. This historical characteristic is inspired by the pocket-watches of the 19th century. The dial of the timepiece is spun across by a second hand which starts to move when the chronograph is engaged and, upon stopping shows the subdivisions of a classic scale from to 0 to 59 where figures are shown in tens. An instant digital display of minutes, composed of generous proportions is juxtaposed at 3 o'clock on the same dial.
Gyrotourbillon: An icon of the watchmaking tradition
The dial of the Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon 3 watch dedicated to day/night indication has been stamped. The platinum, as has been hand hammered according to an ancient technique and meticulously applied in the workshops of the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre. This expertise requiring dexterity and consistency beyond compare is inspired by the pocket watch created in 1898 by Jacques- David LeCoultre.
Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon 3 watch: limited edition dedicated to Antoine LeCoultre
