Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrates art and craftsmanship at the 67th Venice International Film Festival, the Mostra.
This year, Jaeger-LeCoultre pays special homage to some of the finest Métiers d’Art in the heart of La Serenissima, the City of the Doges, for the 67th Venice Mostra, sponsored by Jaeger-LeCoultre for the sixth consecutive year. The Brand will present four exceptional timepieces, each of which, in its own way, displays an aspect of the Manufacture’s state of the expertise in the traditional metiers d’art of high watchmaking. Two of these timepieces are featured in original short films. The first focuses on the art of gem-setting, perfectly epitomized by the Rose Blanche, with a journey through the workshops of the Manufacture from conception to its final creation, guaranteed to enchant women enamoured with the glitter and beauty of Haute Joaillerie. In another short film, Haute Horlogerie enthusiasts will appreciate the arts of enamelling and engraving in the Venice special edition of the Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication: whose mechanism is as sublime as the signs of the zodiac worked into the enamel. This piece was unveiled at the Jaeger-LeCoultre Night at the Mostra on 7 September 2010. In addition, a special article and interview revealing real insights into the art of enamelling will be posted in the LeClub Blog from 7th September, including an exclusive interview with Miklos Merckzel, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s master enameller. Visit LeClub to find out more about Jaeger-LeCoultre and the Métiers d’Art and for more detailed information on the watchmaking creations revealed at the Mostra: the Rose Blanche, la Reverso Squadra Art, the Master Tourbillon Wild and the Venice special edition of the Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication.
