During the post-war boom years, the practice of sport spread throughout society. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s chronographs rode along on this wave and lent their elegance to the measurement of sporting prowess. 1969 saw the arrival of the Shark Chronograph with its distinctive interchangeable external bezel allowing it to metamorphose from a town watch with time zones into a diver’s watch water-resistant down to 120 metres.
