The Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre wrote a new chapter in the history of the city of São Paolo. Jaeger-LeCoultre has partnered with São Paolo’s State Secretary for Cultural Affairs, to undertake the full restoration of the clock on the Júlio Prestes building. A former train station inaugurated in 1938, the Estação Júlio Prestes was revived in 1999 after an extensive renovation and its listing as an Historical Heritage site that has seen it transformed into one of Brazil’s most important concert halls (Sala São Paulo – São Paolo Concert Hall), now home to the OSESP which is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2014.

Jaeger-LeCoultre further confirms its identity as a brand dedicated to cultural activities worldwide and also serving as patron of the Venice International Film Festival, the Shanghai Film Festival and many other events around the world. In pursuing its ongoing contribution to international culture, Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrates the 60th anniversary of the São Paolo State Symphony Orchestra with one of the brand’s major icons: a Grande Reverso Ultra-Thin watch. Featuring a case-back bearing the OSESP logo hand-engraved by the artisans of the Manufacture, this 50-piece limited edition (30 in steel and 20 in pink gold) is exclusively available at the Jaeger-LeCoultre Boutique in São Paolo, located in the prestigious JK Iguatemi shopping mall. For each watch sold, a donation will be made to the OSESP to fund the “Concertos Matinais na Sala São Paulo” (Matinée concerts in the São Paolo Concert Hall) project, offering free classical music concerts.
