On the eve of International Women’s Day, Jaeger-LeCoultre was the main sponsor the Harvard Business School’s celebration of 50 years of women in the prestigious MBA programme. The evening brought together more than 150 people, all alumnae of the school and their guests, and 5 exceptional panellists including Orit Gadiesh (Chairman of Bain & Company), Rona Fairhead CBE (outgoing CEO of The Financial Times Group), Sherry Coutu CBE (celebrated Angel Investor) and renowned business writer Barbara Minto (first female consultant at McKinsey & Co).
In her opening remarks addressing the audience as main sponsor of the event, Zahra Kassim-Lakha, Jaeger-LeCoultre Director of Global Strategy and UK Market, recounted her own journey since graduating from the Harvard Business School in 1999. Ms Kassim-Lakha said “as HBS celebrates 50 years of women at the School, Jaeger-LeCoultre was extremely proud that its own 180th anniversary was being marked by the launch of a major new collection of mechanical watches for women, Rendez-Vous.” She particularly underlined the unique position of Jaeger-LeCoultre in the high-end watch segment: a leader in invention, with craftsmanship at the heart of our 180-year old Manufacture and with a commitment to creating exquisite ladies pieces since the 1880s.
Jaeger-LeCoultre watchmaker, Richard Phipps-Carter was on hand, along with retail partner Harrods, to demonstrate the inner workings of the timepieces and present several pieces of the latest collection of timepieces.
