An extraordinary acoustic experience with Jaeger-LeCoultre at the Carrousel du Louvre
The Belles Montres trade fair was held from 26 to 28 November 2010. It is the largest trade fair in Europe that is open to the public, and this year it welcomed over 12,400 visitors. At this fair, Jaeger-LeCoultre presented its latest horological innovations on the theme of “Invention through movement”. Visitors were able to view the Master Compressor Extreme LAB2 Tribute to Geophysic, fitted with a brand-new mechanical chronograph movement specially designed for the most extreme environments. The fair also saw the unveiling of the Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication to devotees and connoisseurs of fine watches. This innovative timepiece comprises three complications, a minute repeater, a flying tourbillon and a sidereal zodiac calendar, that combine the proudest watch-making traditions with ground-breaking technology to produce a superbly elegant creation. This trade fair also introduced visitors to many other innovations highlighting “precision” and “useful functions”. During the three days of the trade fair, a master watch-maker was in attendance, and the owners of chiming watches were able to record the sound of their watch – an extraordinary experience. The operation of and the innovations in these amazing timepieces were explained to brand collectors and enthusiasts at a presentation led by Yves Meylan, the brand’s managing director in France, on Saturday 27 November at 11 o’clock in the Jaeger-LeCoultre area.
