A new generation of Reverso was fitted with thinner cases. The famous triple-gadroons which had framed and enhanced the dials since 1931 were reinterpreted as double-gadroons. 1982 saw the first diamond-set versions of the Reverso. The same year, a model created for the French market used a square shape for the first time.
