Jaeger-LeCoultre takes three first prizes


Jaeger-LeCoultre received three first prizes during 2013 ViennaTime watch fair held on November 14-17. The winners of the vote held for ViennaTime and MunichTime exhibitions were announced at the official ViennaTime opening ceremony on Thursday, November 14. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master Ultra Thin Jubilee watch took the first prize in two different categories. The following day, the Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique à Quantième Perpétuel Jubilee won the top prize at Chrono Awards in Austria.

Die Presse watch competition
The readers of „Die Presse“, a renowned Austrian newspaper, chose Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master Ultra Thin Jubilee as the winner in the „Classic elegance” category out of 33 other models from various watchmaking brands.

Jaeger-LeCoultre CEO Daniel Riedo received the prize in Vienna and highlighted the spirit of invention that has been guiding Jaeger-LeCoultre’s artisans for 180 years. The Master Ultra Thin Jubilee mechanical watch represents an important milestone for Jaeger-LeCoultre.The watch combines simplicity and elegance with Fine Watchmaking and is an eloquent tribute to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s pioneering role in the sphere of ultra-thin watches.”

Public vote at MunichTime
The Master Ultra Thin Jubilee was also elected as the winner in the Innovation category (price range 10,000 – 40,000 euros) by the public casting their vote at MunichTime Fair. Over 12,000 visitors attended the exhibition on November 1-3, 2013. Jürgen Bestian, General Manager of Jaeger-LeCoultre Northern Europe, received this prestigious award on behalf of the brand.

Chrono Awards
On Friday, November 15th, two Austrian economic magazines Trend and Format hosted the 11th Chrono Awards gala to announce the winners in various watch categories that had been elected by the magazines’ readers. The first prize in First Class category (watches from 25,000 euros) went to the Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique à Quantième Perpétuel Jubilee.

These prestigious awards for the timepieces of the Jubilee collection Hommage à Antoine LeCoultre mark another highlight in Jaeger-LeCoultre’s 180-anniversary year, attesting to the leading positions of Jaeger-LeCoultre in the sphere of Fine Watchmaking.
