Jaeger-LeCoultre invites you to enter the world of Haute Horlogerie on 20 November 2012 and proudly presents the Duomètre Unique Travel Time watch, produced especially for the inauguration of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Boutique at Place Vendôme in Paris. This watch is made of 18 carat white gold and has been manufactured as a limited edition of only 100 pieces. It is a worthy inheritor of the Duomètre name, celebrating, as it does, the noble and technical art of fine watchmaking. It illustrates 180 years of history while simultaneously setting a standard for watchmaking in the future.

In 2005, Jaeger-LeCoultre opened its doors on the famous Place Vendôme, an epicentre for luxury goods in France and a true legend teeming with palaces and prestigious residences. Here, in the sumptuous Hôtel de Villemaré designed by Mansart in the 17th century, the brand found the ideal place to share its latest creations and iconic timepieces.

Because watchmaking is first and foremost a matter of passion, Jaeger-LeCoultre decided to make their new Place Vendôme boutique into much more than a simple sales outlet. The visitor’s senses are engaged upon entering the reception hall which is full of smooth, rounded surfaces and great light. A giant mechanism adorns the ceiling and provides the starting point on a journey into the heart of fine watchmaking, recalling one of the latest inventions from the Manufacture - the Duomètre Sphérotourbillon.

Across the reception hall is a presentation space for current collections. A wall of watch movements is on display on the ground floor as a reminder of the 1000+ calibres created by the Manufacture over the last 180 years, symbolising the scope of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s expertise. On the floor above, two huge rooms with warm, elegant décor display the high complication and fine jewellery timepieces produced by the Manufacture. An additional adjoining room serves as an elegant VIP lounge and will entice visitors with its exceptional view over the Place Vendôme.

Presentation rooms, lounges, workshops – the diverse range of spaces provides the setting for the visitor to discover a host of interesting finds: special Jaeger-LeCoultre heritage pieces, a showcase of watchmaking curiosities, themed settings, an emphasis on the delicate crafts and expertise employed by the Manufacture, etc.

Every square metre of the new store is devoted to our love of watchmaking in all its forms and reflects our prestige as a world renowned company…
