Jaeger-LeCoultre announces partnership with Global Champions Tour

  • Global Champion Tour announcement

The Global Champions Tour is an international showjumping championship which gathers world’s top riders and horses who compete for glory and the highest prize money in the sport. The GCT 2012 calendar is poised to deliver another breathtaking, action-packed year of world class show jumping around the globe, with Jaeger-LeCoultre as the official partner and time-keeper of the Tour for the 3rd year.

Nobility, speed, accuracy and impeccable dexterity are the principles that have consistently inspired the rules in both show jumping and the watchmaking art. “There is a historical, intrinsic link between Jaeger-LeCoultre and the world of horses”, - says Jérôme Lambert, Jaeger-LeCoultre CEO. – “It is not just about lifestyle and luxury, it is also about a tradition of excellence and the pursuit of something rare and appealing for connoisseurs, that can only be found with long preparation and a lot of talent”.

Jaeger-LeCoultre offers its iconic Reverso watch to the winner of each series. Each Reverso awarded as a prize is unique thanks to the special engraved design on the back of the swiveling case, that captures the special moment forever and makes one’s watch a treasured piece of personal history to wear.

The 2-times winner of the Global Champions Tour Edwina Tops-Alexander, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s aficionado, has ambitions goals for 2012 season with her legendary horse Itot du Chateau. Throughout 2012, Edwina will participate in the most prestigious jumping competitions, wearing a perfect symbol of a life dedicated to sport, the Reverso, which, in the ladies version, becomes a bejewelled and feminine evening watch at the flick of a wrist.

This year Jaeger-LeCoultre will pursue its presence at the following rounds of Global Champions Tour, adding to the unique experience of the riders and the public and presenting its latest watch collections:
