To mark the occasion of the 69th Venice International Film Festival, Jaeger-LeCoultre renews its commitment to working with the humanitarian NGO, Emergency, by supporting the maternity center which Emergency has opened at Anabah, in Afghanistan.

With an average of ten deliveries daily during the Venice Mostra, over one hundred newborns will take their first breath with the help of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s commitment, which will finance the center for the duration of the festival. The actress Cristiana Capotondi, the patron of this initiative, became personally involved by visiting the Afghan maternity center .

Additional esteemed talent will lend their support to this effort by entering the red carpet holding a rose and wearing a Reverso watch engraved with a rose, the flower chosen to symbolise this operation. The watches will then be auctioned by Christie’s with proceeds donated to Emergency, in order to help finance the center .

On 30th August 2012 a special soirée with dedicated red carpet will celebrate “A Rose for Emergency”: Jaeger-LeCoultre supports the maternity center at Anabah.
