First automatic watch with power-reserve indicator

Two years after adding the self-winding movement to its collection, Jaeger-LeCoultre brought out the first watch in watchmaking history to combine this function with a power-reserve indicator, the Jaeger-LeCoultre 481 Calibre. From that date onwards, power reserve became the useful function par excellence of automatic watches.
