History

Gyrotourbillon 1

Carrying on the tradition of grand complications created at the Manufacture since the 1890s, the Gyrotourbillon I is equipped with the Manufacture’s first grand complication calibre for wristwatches. Its Jaeger-LeCoultre 177 calibre numbers no less than 679 parts! It houses three major complications: a spherical tourbillon; a perpetual calendar with double retrograde indicators and solar time with the equation of time. To cap it all, it provides eight days of running time. The assembly and regulating of this masterpiece is entrusted to a single watchmaker. Manufacturing the 75 examples in this limited series took the best craftsmen seven years.
