The Iconic Reverso celebrates its 80th anniversary in Athens!

The famous High Watchmaking Manufacture, Jaeger–LeCoultre, celebrates the 80th anniversary of Reverso! In a place that fits perfectly with the aesthetics and the functionality of this model, the Olympic Equestrian Centre in Athens, guests had the opportunity to see the Reverso collection and watch the jumping competition, which was sponsored by Jaeger-LeCoultre. Guests had the opportunity to get to know ancient and new creations of Reverso, such as the brand new Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931, which is an authentic re-edition of the first legendary model, as well as the legendary pieces from the 80 years history of the model’s series, such as the Original Reverso Homme of 1936 and 1943. The presence of the Reverso Grande Taille, Limited Εdition Greece, which has its case-back engraved with the Greek flag, is worth mentioning due to the fact that this watch was released only in 46 pieces. Jaeger-LeCoultre is strongly connected to equestrian sports and proves it with its regular support. In Greece Jaeger-LeCoultre sponsored the Jumping event. The games took place on June 3rd until June 12th 2011 at the Olympic Equestrian Centre in Markopoulo, with the participation of athletes from around the world. During the jumping competition, the Regional Brand Manager of Jaeger-LeCoultre, Nikos Anastasopoulos, awarded the winners, on Friday June 11th, 2011 and Marketing Manager Jaeger-LeCoultre, Efthimia Simigdala awarded the winners of Grand Prix, on Sunday June, 13th, 2011. The renowned Greek personality Thodoris Koutsogiannopoulos, did us an honor by being here. Thodoris Koutsogiannopoulos Born and raised in Athens, Piraeus. He studied sociology at Panteion University, and continued making a comparative study between American and European cinema at the French Institute of Press and Information, Sorbonne. He began writing in “Cinema” magazine and in 1990 he began working at Antenna TV channel as a copywriter at a film show. He worked there for 15 years, in morning shows & news, while from 1997 until 2001 has been the presenter and editor of “Proti Provoli” (=Film Premiere) and Cine Antenna shows. He is a film critic and has cooperated with various newspapers and magazines. Now, he writes about movies and conducts interviews with movie-stars in Vogue magazine. Since 2005 he also works in the television station ALPHA, speaking mainly for movies and doing interviews with filmmakers and actors. He is a co-presenter of the morning show “Kafes me tin Eleni” as well. He is a major fan of Jaeger-LeCoultre watches and loves the history of the brand. He always wears one and follows the brand in every event.
