Luxury and good taste are timeless. So it comes as no surprise that those who enjoy fine cuisine also have an eye for fine watch making.
In September, chefs Paul Bocuse, Daniel Boulud, Thomas Keller, and Jérôme Bocuse each donned a Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece during the two days Bocuse d’Or USA competition.
The Bocuse d’Or is an Olympic style event for professional chefs created over twenty years ago by Paul Bocuse. During the competition, held at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, eight US based semi-finalist teams competed in an elimination style contest, the winner representing the United States in the Bocuse d’Or World Cuisine Contest in January 2009.
Timothy Hollingsworth of The French Laundry in Yountville, California was crowned the first place of the competition, and as a part of his prize received a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande Date.
