Exacting Standards And The Highest Level Of Performance
Created by Jaeger-LeCoultre engineers and watchmakers for the most demanding divers, the Master Compressor Diving line sets new standards in the world of deep-sea diving.
It embodies a perfect blend of style, professional requirements and technical performance, within an incredible sense of innovation. A new collection, with a strong identity and DNA, and always Jaeger-LeCoultre
Maximum Visibility At Great Depths
To ensure exceptional readability underwater, the Master Compressor Diving watches are equipped with broad numerals, hour-markers and hands, all enhanced with a white luminescent treatment (also found on the reference triangle of the diving bezel). The use of the colour blue, particularly for the movement operating indicator and the depth gauge indicator, is no coincidence. The depth of the water acts like a colour filter and reduces the spectrum of colours, starting with red. Blue is the last to "fade out" and is thus the only colour that is legible at depths beyond 30 metres or so.
The Jaeger-Lecoultre Diving Bezel
The Master Compressor Diving professional models are distinguished by their diving bezel with cutting-edge technical and aesthetic features. The bezel turns in only one direction (counter-clockwise) so as to protect the time measurement function, and only if a force equivalent to N*mm is applied - thereby minimising the risk of accidental rotation. It has a 60-tooth system to ensure easy adjustment in one-minute increments. Like the hands and numerals on the dial, the reference triangle is luminescent to ensure reliable dive time calculations even in the darkness of great depths.
Each Model Has Its Own Movement Operating Indicator
A mechanical diver's watch must be equipped with an operating indication. This indicator takes the form of a dedicated seconds disk on the Master Compressor Diving models. Each model has its own specific type of indicator. The luminescent white and blue disk is visible through a semi-circular or rectangular opening, or indeed through three small openings in the ladies' models. On the Master Compressor Diving Pro Geographic, the running indicator blends seamlessly into the dial structure: a black disk with a luminescent cross-through bar.
Patented Jaeger-Lecoultre Compression Keys
The diving watch line boasts the distinctive compression key crowns, an exclusive Jaeger-LeCoultre system after which the Master Compressor line was named. This ingenious system provides an instant solution to the problem of gaskets that are no longer watertight or of damaged crown-locking systems. A half-turn ensures that the interior water-tight system, composed of a cone and an O-ring, is as securely sealed as a submarine hatch. And it is just as easily opened, since the double arrow shows which way to turn. This "key technology" - thus named because it is reminiscent of opening and closing a lock - guarantees a safe and user-friendly handling, while also performing its specific watchmaking advantage of driving the winding pinion, as is the case with crown-locking systems.
