JAEGER-LECOULTRE: DIVE: COLLECTION: THE PRODUCTS: MASTER COMPRESSOR DIVING CHRONOGRAPH: EXPLORE

FEATURES:

Guaranteed Water Resistance to 1,000 metres

The watch's inner dimensions have been optimised to withstand extreme pressure, thanks to the thickness of the caseback and the glass. The back is also screwed down to seal the case, tightly and evenly. The sturdy cambered sapphire crystal, 3.60 mm thick, is capable of resisting pressure equivalent of up to 890 kilograms (the weight of a small car). To fully protect the crown and pushers, these are fitted with Jaeger-LeCoultre's patented compression keys and wing-nuts. With this serious construction, the watch is equipped to be an ideal companion, underwater and even in the most extreme adventures.

The Pulsometer Function

The dial rim features a pulsometric scale indicating the heartbeat per minute. Three easy steps: start the chronograph seconds hand, then stop it at the 30th heartbeat, and read off the measurement where the hand is pointing on the scale. This function is particularly useful for sports enthusiasts wishing to optimise their sports training by taking account of the upper limits of their cardiac rate. It is indispensable for free-diving, since this discipline specifically involves controlling and reducing one's pulse rate.

An Exceptional Chronograph

Water resistance to a depth of 1,000 metres represents an exceptional performance for a chronograph, since the pushers are put to severe test in the most extreme circumstances. Jaeger-LeCoultre has developed an exclusive solution to this technical challenge: pushers equipped with a compression system. In closed position, they guarantee optimal security by supercharging a toric gasket. To use the chronograph, the user simply gives the wingnut a half-turn to release the crown.
