FEATURES:
Guaranteed Water Resistance to 1,000 Metres
The watch's inner dimensions have been optimised to withstand extreme pressure, thanks to the thickness of the caseback and the glass. The back is also screwed down to seal the case, tightly and evenly. The sturdy cambered sapphire crystal, 3.60 mm thick, is capable of resisting pressure equivalent of up to 890 kilograms (the weight of a small car). To fully protect the crown and pushers, these are fitted with Jaeger-LeCoultre's patented compression keys and wing-nuts. With this serious construction, the watch is equipped to be an ideal companion, underwater and even in the most extreme adventures.
Two Time Zones, Maximum Readability and Functionality
The understated elegance of the black dial with its white numerals and hour-markers is only animated by the blue and white movement operating indicator. To effectively distinguish day from night, the second time zone is read off on a 24-hour scale. The date display opposite features a split-level structure, that visually enlarges it. Meanwhile, the large hour hand rather astute: rotating the crown in the pulled-out position moves it forward or backward without affecting the precision of the minute display.
The Patented Jaeger-Lecoultre Compression Keys
These compression keys have inspired the name and the design of the Master Compressor collection. Exclusive to Jaeger-LeCoultre, they ensure optimal security by supercharging one of the four toric gaskets and thus reducing the space around them. Compared with classic water-resistance systems, they guarantee long-term reliability by limiting strain on the crown tube when rotated and they prevent any external element from seeping in. The white arrow indicates compression. Simply turning the key in the direction indicated decompresses the gasket and frees the crown for use.
