Reverso grande complication à triptyque

It unites the three dimensions of time within the legendary swivel case: civil time, sidereal time and perpetual time. Its Grande Complication manually-wound movement features some uniquely subtle construction features and displays no less than 19 complications, including a tourbillon equipped with a new ellipse isometer escapement. Issued in a platinum limited edition of 75 and protected by five patent requests, this exceptional timepiece represents the culmination of over six years of research and development conducted within the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre.

Civil time and the ellipse isometer escapement

The indication of civil time is provided by the tourbillon endowed with an ultra-light 0.08-gram titanium carriage, a large balance and a high frequency. For the first time in a wristwatch format, the tourbillon is equipped with a high-performance ellipse isometer escapement.

On the back, sidereal time

Appearing on a disc in the centre of the patented zodiac calendar, the night sky reveals the constellations visible from a given latitude. It performs a complete rotation in 23 hours, 56 minutes 4 seconds. The sidereal indications also include the equation of time and sunrise and sunset times.

In the carrier, perpetual time

The carrier features an unprecedented and brilliant display of the instant perpetual calendar. Featuring a retrograde date display, it is activated by an ingenious system of transmission. Every evening, at exactly midnight, the calibre gives an impulse to the base in order to update all the calendar information.
