The Watchmaking Week in Singapore

175th anniversary celebrations continue with the rendez-vous of watch enthusiasts

In this anniversary year, Jaeger-LeCoultre is more strongly committed than ever to its philosophy of initiating people to the savoir-faire of horology, and is offering fine watchmaking enthusiasts a truly unique experience. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Watchmaking Week in Singapore was officially launched at the grand opening event held at the Civic Plaza, Ngee Ann City from 17-22 July 2008.

The key sections of the watchmaking week include a 175th Anniversary Heritage Area, an area dedicated to the Arts and Craftsmanships of the Manufacture, a section on the Culture of Complications. A Master Watchmaker and a Master Craftsman will be on-site to demonstrate how a timepiece is created and a lounge area will focus on one of the most amazing and innovative icons in the history of timekeeping, the Atmos clock, which is also celebrating its 80th Anniversary.

Other Watchmaking Weeks will take place in France, Germany and China.
