The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polo Charity Cup
Adolfo Cambiaso’s Ideas del Sur to benefit
On June 19th 2008 at the Ham Polo Club in London, two polo legends – the Reverso Squadra by Jaeger-LeCoultre and Adolfo Cambiaso, Ambassador of Jaeger-LeCoultre, joined forces to raise funds essential to the work of the “Ideas del Sur” association, in Argentina.
This charity-dedicated day did feature two main highlights: an auction followed by demonstration matches featuring the World’s Best Players Adolfo Cambiaso and Clare Milford Haven (Jaeger-LeCoultre Brand Ambassador), admired by many fans and a special guest: England’s Football Manager, Fabio Capello.
The Auction
Unique polo prizes were auctioned to raise £77, 000 with all proceeds went to ‘Ideas del Sur’, an Argentinean Charity founded by Adolfo Cambiaso, devoted to underprivileged children.
The Matches
Amateur players and the best professionals’ players joined in a day dedicated to sport and humanitarian values.
The Guests
Clients, press, Jaeger-LeCoultre LeClub members and guests of ASMALLWORLD enjoyed a beautiful sunny day in London’s countryside and were treated with a cocktail reception offered by Lanson Champagne, followed by an Argentinian lunch.
Fabio Capello, friend of Jaeger-LeCoultre, flew in especially from Milan for the day. He took a relaxing day-off between watching Euro 2008 matches. He was wearing his favourite watch: a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Squadra World Chronograph.
