The first stone of the new Manufacture
Le Sentier, April 22, 2008
CEO Jérôme Lambert and Industrial Director Jean-Pierre Sassard, surrounded by a hundred or so guests, celebrated the laying of the first stone of the new Manufacture. Guests included local authorities from the Vallée de Joux and French border towns, as well as representatives of the press which remains attentive to the brand’s ongoing development.
To mark the occasion, a stone from the original workshop of Antoine LeCoultre was cemented into the site of the new Manufacture. Engraved with the brand’s signature anchor symbol, this first stone will be protected by a glass panel and visible in the corridor linking the old and new buildings.
This new building will take the total surface area of the Manufacture to 25,000 square metres and will include space for a company cafeteria.
