Le Mans 24 Hours, 2009
Share the latest automobile and watchmaking feats of the Aston Martin Racing partnership
Taking place on June 13-14, the start of the 77th Le Mans 24 Hours will stun racing enthusiasts and watch lovers alike.
Competing in the LMP1 (Le Mans Prototypes) class, Aston Martin Racing will run three cars, numbered 007, 008 and 009, equipped with production-derived V12 engine that took Aston Martin Racing to GT1 class victory at Le Mans in 2007 and 2008. The 2009 race marks a milestone as the iconic sports car manufacturer celebrates the 50th anniversary of its first win at Le Mans, with the legendary 1959 DBR1 driven by Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori.
To mark this auspicious occasion, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Official Watch Partner of Aston Martin, will present two striking ‘Racing’ limited editions of its AMVOX2 Chronograph model, featuring the patented vertical-trigger chronograph, still the only to function without ‘traditional’ push-pieces.
Be the first to discover the unique genetic inheritance of the AMVOX2 Chronograph Racing and know more about Aston Martin and the most famous race in the world, by logging onto LeClub.
Even more exclusive… during the two-day race, on Saturday and Sunday June 13-14, Jaw invites you in the Discuss area to share the latest automobile and watchmaking news and images from Le Mans. Stay tuned!
