Jaeger-LeCoultre sponsors the first VON Polo Cup 2009
The first VON Polo Cup 2009 was held in the Austrian town of Aigen near Strobl am Wolfgangsee.
Jaeger-LeCoultre’s history has been closely tied to the game of polo since the celebrated Reverso was created 1931. Today, the Reverso can be found on the wrists of the world’s best polo players.
Andrea & Paul Harris were able to present the first VON Polo Cup in Aigen, near the town of Strobl am Wolfgangsee, thanks to the active support of the Wolfgangsee Tourism Company and the Strobl community. Team sponsors Jaeger-LeCoultre, Sal. Oppenheim private bank, Rolls Royce and Veuve Clicquot, as well as tournament organizer Uwe Zimmermann, all made a significant contribution to the success of the event.
From 7-9 August 2009, Austria’s Salzkammergut region provided a breathtaking backdrop for spectators to enjoy themselves at remarkable matches and a suspenseful final on Sunday.
