The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) came to a close after a week full of events in Geneva. In particular, Jaeger-LeCoultre gave a virtuoso demonstration of watchmaking savoir-faire: Invention through movement was the key theme of the Manufacture's 2010 Collection. No less than 4 new calibres were presented, equipping more than 15 exceptional timepieces.
The Master Compressor Extreme LAB 2, with an entirely new mechanical chronograph movement specially designed for the most extreme environments, made a sensational impact.
Brilliantly illustrating the Grande Maison of watchmaking complications, the Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication won universal approval with its three associated complications : a minute repeater, a flying tourbillon and a zodiac calendar, sideral time.
The new Duomètre à Quantième Lunaire also demonstrated this unsurpassed mastery of the watchmakier’s art by its new « Dual Wing » concept.
Lovers and collectors of fine watches also applauded the reincarnation of a truly legendary timepiece with the new Master Memovox & Memovox International.
First-ever Live Webcast from SIHH Jaeger-LeCoultre brought traditional watchmaking savoir-faire into the age of the "web 2.0 generation" by hosting the first-ever Live Webcast from SIHH. Brand Marketing Director, Stéphane Belmont presented the Manufacture's 2010 Collection to lovers of Haute Horlogerie and then answered questions from viewers received live during the webcast. Jaeger-LeCoultre at the heart of a human and technical adventure In "Jaeger-LeCoultre – The Official Page" on Facebook, Jaeger-LeCoultre publishes the final chapters (and now full account) of expert climber Stéphane Schaffter's journal, tracing the chilling adventure of his team's ascent of a virgin Himalayan Peak to test Jaeger-LeCoultre's new Master Compressor Extreme LAB 2. The successful 7-week adventure, coined the "Geophysic Expedition", will officially result in naming the peak "Antoine LeCoultre", thereby placing this great watchmaking inventor on the world's geological maps. Interviews and films on jaegerlecoultreclub, the official Jaeger-LeCoultre YouTube channel, also pay tribute to this unprecedented meeting between the worlds of watchmaking and mountaineering.
Interactive ways to discover the 2010 Collection For iPhone users, the 2010 Collection has been added to the Jaeger-LeCoultre application, the first introductory course to watchmaking on a mobile, available from App store.
On the Financial Times site, the latest creations are now also featured in the interactive behind the dial section.
