Jaeger-LeCoultre, Official Partner of the Nations Cup Polo Tournament in Dubai
Jaeger-LeCoultre, Official Sponsor of the UAE National Polo Team, was a primary Partner of the Nations Cup Polo Tournament held at Desert Palm, a Boutique retreat and private Polo estate overlooking the Dubai skyline. The Nations Cup Tournament held in January 2010 was the region’s 2nd International Polo Tournament organised in celebration of the sport and in support of the ‘Riding for the Disabled Foundation ’ in Dubai, a charity providing facilities, training, and access to horses for disabled children in order to achieve a variety of therapeutic goals.
The Manufacture took the opportunity to promote the game of Polo and reiterate the Brand’s connection to the sport by inviting media and VIP guests for a true Polo experience and a chance to learn to play the sport of kings themselves along with an exclusive highlight of the iconic Reverso Collection.
At the end of the tournament a special prize, the Reverso Squadra Hometime, was awarded by Jaeger-LeCoultre to the two players most influential in the promotion and development of Polo in their home countries. Following the prize-giving ceremony the competition for the helmet worn by Adolfo Cambiaso in the 2009 Desert Palm Nations Cup was auctioned. All proceeds of the auction were donated to ‘Riding for the Disabled Foundation’ in Dubai.
