THE COLLECTIBLES
Reverso Small Seconds
At a time when white and silver-toned dials were the norm in the watch industry, LeCoultre & Cie was one of the few Maisons to offer coloured dials, reinforcing the resolutely modern character of the Reverso. In addition to the signature black dial of the Reverso, brown, red and blue versions were also available but exclusively on request. These pieces, such as the present Reverso Small Seconds, are thus exceedingly rarer.
Equipped with the rectangular manual-winding LeCoultre Calibre 410, the watch is fitted on a new dark brown calfskin leather strap.
HERITAGE
A CLASSIC OF ART DECO DESIGN
In full bloom during the 1920s, the Art Deco movement reshaped the world thanks to its cardinal principle: āform must follow functionā. While its reversible rectangular case and dial design exalt a simple geometry, playing with curves and straight lines, the principle was taken a step further as even the movements powering the Reverso are rectangular so as to make full use of the available space.
