The Master Control Calendar expresses all the essential codes of the Master Control Collection. With its dial in a refined shades of grey, the timepiece embodies the Grande Maison's watchmaking savoir-faire in a contemporary interpretation.

Distinguished by its two tone of grey and grained dial subtly contrasting by a slender date hand ending in a red-lacquered Jaeger-LeCoultre logo, the Master Control Calendar represents the essence of contemporary elegant watchmaking at Jaeger-LeCoultre: subtle yet striking and resolutely modern.
DRESSED IN GREY
The captivating colour of its grained dial is matched by its black calf leather strap, offering a monochromatic modern aesthetic. Its grained finish dial is the first of its kind in the Master Control line, introduced in a limitation of 500 pieces.

Entirely designed, produced, decorated and assembled within the Manufacture, the manual-winding Calibre 866 pays tribute to the emblematic Triple Calendar first produced in the early 1940’s.
MOVEMENT
THE APPEAL OF THE 1940's, WITH MODERN PERFORMANCE
The Calibre 866 is directly inspired by the “Triple Calendar” timepieces of the 1940s and has become a signature of La Grande Maison. It displays the same indications, such as Date, Day and Month and moon phase, while integrating the latest improvements made by our engineers such as an improved barrel and titanium screws for the oscillating weight. The Calibre 866 comprises of 344 components and features a 70 hours power reserve, a modern standard in Master Control.
INTUITIVE AND PRECISE JUMP
Featuring a minute scale in a subtly contrasting lighter grey, the legibility and readability of this timepiece has been emphasised for a precise indication of the time. For optimal reading of the moon phase and small seconds sub dial, the date hand makes a 90° jump between the 15th and 16th day of each month ensuring that the sub dial is never obstructed by the date hand. A small yet effective detail increasing the design clarity of the Master Control Calendar.

The sleek look of The Master Control luxury watch collection takes its inspiration from the classic designs of the golden age of watchmaking in the 1950s. The collection was launched in 1992 as a homage to the unmatched fine watchmaking heritage of Jaeger‑LeCoultre.
