DESIGN
INSPIRED BY THE PLANETS’ MOVEMENTS
Originally created in 2010, Calibre 945 is testament to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s expertise in celestial complications, uniting a sky chart with a celestial vault, a zodiacal calendar and the patented Cosmotourbillon. The calibre is further elevated by the integration of an innovative minute repeater.
INTERPRETATION OF THE BEYOND
An extraordinary calibre deserves an exceptional habillage and the Master Hybris Artistica Calibre 945 brings fresh artistic expression to this marriage of complications, the intricate atomium-like structure spheres resting on a unique enamel dome.

The Master Hybris Artistica Calibre 945 unites La Grande Maison’s artistic creativity with technical ingenuity.

MAGNIFICENT SCULPTED STRUCTURE
The dial is constructed on multiple levels, amplifying the beauty of the celestial displays while creating a three-dimensional support for the complex atomium-like structure. Composed of 117 spheres reminiscent of the stars, the structure completes this celestial composition.

MESMERIZING ENAMEL DOME
Holding the intricate golden structure in place, the central dome of the dial is hand decorated at the Manufacture’s Métiers Rares™ atelier with dark blue Grand Feu enamel with transferred constellations in white.
FUNCTIONS
THE COSMOS ON THE WRIST
The celestial vault maps the constellations as seen from the Manufacture in real time. The Cosmotourbillon is composed of 73 components alone to allow a complete revolution around the center of the dial in one sidereal day (23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds).
A TOURBILLON ORBITING AROUND THE DIAL
The celestial flying 60-second tourbillon measures the passing of time by making a complete, anti-clockwise circuit of the dial in one sidereal day. It rotates in tandem with the Northern Hemisphere sky chart that tracks the positions of the constellations in real time as seen from Switzerland’s Vallée de Joux, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s home since its founding in 1833.
THE CONSTELLATIONS CHIME
Calibre 945 also unites the astronomical complications with a minute repeater, one of the strongest of the Maison thanks to its trébuchet hammers and crystal gongs. The technical difficulty lies in the complexity of the mechanism needed to transcribe the precise time shown by the hands into a series of perfectly programmed strikes, with different sounds for hours, quarters and minutes.

CALIBRE
A SYNTHESIS OF ART AND MECHANICS
The essence of Calibre 945 is the way in which it interprets astronomical timekeeping for the wrist, using the dial to display the cosmos. Having fully mastered sidereal time, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s watchmakers have created this one-of-a-kind calibre that brings celestial complications together in a fascinating way.

THE WATCHMAKER OF WATCHMAKERS
Always striving to surpass itself, La Grande Maison has created more than 1400 calibres and registered over 430 patents. From the very beginning, our master craftsmen and women have created exceptional calibres which were sold to the great Swiss watchmakers, earning Jaeger-LeCoultre the nickname of "Watchmaker of Watchmakers".
