AMVOX2 DBS Transponder

It incorporates a miniature transmitter system serving to lock and unlock the Aston Martin DBS sports car, while maintaining the functions of the famous pushpiece-free chronograph. The miniaturisation of the transponder module, along with its wiring and its transmitter antenna have been completely redesigned from a watchmaking perspective. The development required over 18 months by Jaeger-LeCoultre with intense collaboration from Aston Martin. Only Aston Martin dealerships will be able to authorise the timepiece to communicate with the owner’s specific DBS, thus ensuring security at all times.

With its racing genes and exquisite interior, the Aston Martin DBS is the ultimate luxury sports car. Its hand-built 6-litre V12 engine produces 380 kW (517 hp), making it one of the most potent production Aston Martin models ever made.

Pioneering watchmaking perspective

The antenna is metallised on the inside of the sapphire crystal, and is connected to the locking control contact rectangles. The automotive functionalities are facilitated by touch-sensitive technology. Each part of the transponder has been miniaturised.

Open, Close, Find Me

Making contacts with the two control rectangles activates three automotive functionalities. OPEN and CLOSE control the access to DBS doors, while pressing on both results in flashing the headlights to enable the owner to find the car at a glance (FIND ME).
