Mechanical membrane depth gauge

The housing on the side of the case has a blackened steel membrane that expands or contracts as a function of the pressure exerted by the water. Its movement is transmitted to the hand indicator via an ingenious transmission system that is partially visible at the centre of the dial. The depth indicated ranges from 0 to 80 metres.

Geographic Movement

Modern, robust and reliable, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 979 presents an indication of multiple time zones enabling the user to select a city and immediately see the corresponding time displayed. It is the first to incorporate with this function a rapid setting for the main time zone, a very useful feature when travelling.

Technical and exclusive

Produced in partnership with the combat divers of the US Navy, the Navy SEALs, this timepiece has a micro-beaded ceramic bezel and complies with the most stringent reliability, performance and resistance criteria. Each timepiece in this limited numbered series bears the seal of the U.S. Navy SEALs.
