Moon
The Rendez-Vous Classic Moon unfolds into a new refined interpretation of the moon phase, a feminine complication par excellence. In its pink gold case with curved lugs, the bezel hemmed with a row of diamonds underlines the finesse of the silvered guilloché dial, featuring a row of diamonds. The floral hours and Dauphine hands characteristic of the Rendez-Vous collection stand out. At 6 o’clock, the moon phase delicately and poetically brings to life the myth of Qixi, an ode to eternal love that celebrates the seventh day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar. As if echoing the midnight blue color of the moon phase, the shiny leather strap provides the final touch.
DESIGN
THE EMBLEMATIC DANCE OF TIME
This timepiece pays tribute to one of the most romantic and enduring stories in Chinese mythology, the myth of Qixi, with a fresh artistic interpretation of one of the most poetic watchmaking complications: A moon phase display.
A ROMANTIC ECHO OF 107 DIAMONDS
The dial abounds in detail: its outer ring has mirror-polished cabochons marking the hours, the floral numerals and hands on its dial are complemented by a background of silvered guilloché and for a more sophisticated look, a circle of 60 grain-set diamonds on the bezel is echoed by a ring of 47 smaller diamonds on the inner dial.

FUNCTIONS
A CAPTIVATING MOON PHASE DISPLAY
Set within an aperture at 6 o’clock, the moon disc passes across a deep blue sky. A river of tiny stars represents the Milky Way and two larger stars represent the faithful lovers.

CALIBRE
A HAUTE HORLOGERIE HEART
Visible through the transparent sapphire case-back, Calibre 925 is a self-winding mechanical movement, developed and produced entirely within the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre. The transparent sapphire case-back reveals fine decoration and finishing in classical watchmaking style: blued screws, circular graining and Côtes de Genève and the open-worked pink gold winding rotor.

HERITAGE
A REVOLUTION WORN ON THE WRIST
The very first wristwatches were worn by women in the early 1900s and were only later adopted by men. Edmond Jaeger and Jacques-David LeCoultre quickly understood that the wristwatch would revolutionise the entire industry. They also understood how this revolution could change the entire approach to watchmaking. The drive to craft watches that were thinner, more complex and that featured elements of high jewellery and complications, was inspired by women. For women, a watch was not only to tell time, but it was an ornament, a jewel, to accompany them throughout day and night Our Rendez-Vous collection continues this proud tradition today.
