THE COLLECTIBLES
DUOPLAN 'TUILE'

23 x 13 mm - Stainless steel
At the dawn of the partnership between Jaeger and LeCoultre, the Duoplan represented a genuine industry revolution. Built on two superimposed planes, the Duoplan calibre was an invitation for both companies to express their creativity with beautiful and inventive designs. It was also a revolution for LeCoultre & Cie, which, thanks to the Duoplan, made the transition from a movement and component producer to a full-fledged watch manufacturer.

A rectangular watch that follows the curve of the wrist, with a wider bracelet and a unique curved glass that reinforce the presence of the piece.

Equipped with the Jaeger-LeCoultre Duoplan 403 manual-winding calibre, this 1939 watch features a steel case and comes with a blue calfskin strap.

A REVOLUTION ON THE WRIST

It was within an atmosphere of extreme contrasts, between a conformist society and a small group of men and women seeking a new way of life, that the Duoplan was born. Created in 1925, this calibre made it possible to reconcile two qualities that were then thought to be incompatible, even contradictory, in watchmaking: extreme miniaturisation and great precision.
