ANNOUNCING THE VALLEY OF INVENTIONS EXHIBITION IN SHANGHAI
Tracing more than 190 years of ingenuity in the pursuit of precision, the Valley of Inventions exhibition arrives in Shanghai from 10 to 23 September at Zhang Yuan W4. Inspired by the Vallée de Joux, the birthplace of the Maison and the cradle of modern high watchmaking, the exhibition invites visitors to journey into Jaeger-LeCoultre’s universe through immersive watchmaking, artistic and culinary experiences, while discovering the Maison’s latest creations.
CELEBRATING OVER 190 YEARS OF INVENTIONS
In the Vallée de Joux, mastery gave rise to imagination and imagination gave birth to invention. The Maison’s expertise in complicated timepieces established the region as the cradle of watchmaking complications. At the Valley of Inventions exhibition, visitors are invited to discover this unique story of innovation through four immersive chapters:

THE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
EVERY LEGEND HAS ITS BIRTHPLACE
Step into the Valley of Inventions, where a bespoke art installation brings to life the frozen landscapes and winter forests of the Vallée de Joux. Centred around a spectacular pine tree sculpted from ice, the experience reveals the story of the land, its people and the pioneering inventions that shaped the Manufacture through a carefully choreographed blend of light, sound and environmental effects.
THE CULINARY EXPERIENCE
LE CHALET
Guests are invited to enjoy a refreshment at Le Chalet, a culinary experience inspired by the flavours and harmonies of the Vallée de Joux. A bespoke selection of beverages combines subtle flavour compositions, unexpected textures and refined presentations in a sophisticated expression of the region’s heritage and identity.
THE WATCHMAKING EXPERIENCE
THE PRECISION PIONEER DISCOVERY WORKSHOP
During the Valley of Inventions exhibition, the Atelier d’Antoine invites visitors to dive deeper into the fascinating world of watchmaking with its Precision Pioneer Discovery Workshop. Guided by an expert, this workshop offers an immersive journey of discovery, combining the precise hand gestures of calibre assembly, hands-on wheel adjustments, and the mysteries of the cinematic of multi-axis tourbillon.
