OVERVIEW

THE INTENSITY OF EMERALDS

DESIGN

THE SPIRIT OF COCKTAIL WATCHES

The enduring legacy of cocktail watches, which elegantly merged watchmaking with high jewellery crafts, continues to shape contemporary design with the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds.

DIALOGUE BETWEEN ERAS

Born from the Art Deco movement and first seen in the 1920s, cocktail watches truly came into their own during the 1930s, thereby transforming the wristwatch into a sophisticated evening accessory. These timepieces were notable for their distinctive fusion of watchmaking and high jewellery, using precious materials, diamonds, or vivid coloured gemstones.

ART DECO AESTHETICS

The signature iconography of the Reverso Tribute dial recalls the purity of the 1931 original Reverso, with applied indexes. Their elongated shape and faceted profile add visual depth and echo the form of the Dauphine hands sweeping over the finely grained dial.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

COMBINING FINE CRAFTS

The Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds ‘Or Deco Cocktail’ honours craftsmanship, where techniques such as intricate gem-setting and precise bracelet construction are thoughtfully reinterpreted for today.

46 RAIL-SET VIVID EMERALDS

Through the rail setting technique, the gem-setter’s challenge lies in delicately folding the gold of the case over the 46 baguette-cut emeralds without compromising the stones. Each stone is set edge-to-edge and secured thanks to the rail and the case’s gold, creating a continuous flow of light with no other points of support.

16 METRES OF GOLD THREADS

Drawing on a technique established in 13th-century Milan, the Milanese bracelet is crafted from 16 metres and hundreds of intertwined gold threads. Each section is assembled, cut, hand-soldered, and polished to achieve its fluid design. This fabric-like structure known as pezza blends historical craftsmanship with contemporary refinement, resulting in a slender, flexible bracelet.
