Sky map

The cabinet beautifully displays sky maps inspired by the "Harmonia Macrocosmica" sky atlas made in 1660 by German mathematician and cartographer Andreas Cellarius. The maps are silk-screened on the two glass panels that frame the clock.

The Atmos Astronomique has a new movement that shows a map of the northern hemisphere constellations in a large opening. It also has an equation of time.
