Reverso à éclipse

Representing the first enamelled “shutter” watch – in the tradition of “secret” watches – to be made within the Grande Reverso case, it enables the wearer to recreate the magic of a theatre stage at the turn of a finger. Rolling the shift knob draws back the shutters to unveil the beauty of an enamelled work of art interpreting one of four themes: “Travels and Discoveries”, “Chinese Signs of the Zodiac”, “Famous Nudes” and “Grand Feu Enamelling”. A brilliantly inventive mechanism

The legendary reversible watch now basks in the glory of a new virtuoso talent displayed in an original way. Recessed along the side of the Reverso case, a simple shift-knob serves as the "open sesame" to unveil a prodigious invention. A slight rotating movement on this knob causes the dial to reveal a truly magnificent enamelled painting that leaves the observer speechless.

The art of enamelled miniature painting

Working on miniature paintings housed for the very first time inside the reversible case, the enamellers of the Manufacture use new oxides to give even great radiance to the scenes from the works of great painters. On some of them, the sky appears to actually catch fire thanks to a special enamelling and engraving process.

Ultra-thin movement

At just 1.85 thick, the movement of the Reverso à eclipses watch provides eloquent proof that even the greatest and most sophisticated technical feats may be easily housed within diminutive dimensions.
